‘Drug peddler’s’ bullet-hit body found in Cox’s Bazar

Cox’s Bazar: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected drug peddler from Borodhail area near Marine Drive Road in Teknaf upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Belal, 35, a criminal listed by the Home Ministry and son of Nur Mohammad of Hoakia Para, reports the UNB.
Hearing sounds of gunshots in the area around 1 am, a team of police went to the spot and recovered the body of Belal, said Pradeep Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
Police suspected that Belal might have killed in a ‘gunfight’ between two gangs of criminals.
Belal was wanted in four several cases including that of drugs.
