Dhaka:  The government has promoted twenty-seven superintendents of police (SP) to the post of additional deputy inspector generals, said a home ministry release received in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The newly-promoted additional DIGs are police super AKM Awlad Hossen of Tourist Police, deputy police commissioner of Chittagong Masud Ul Hasan, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan, Assistant Inspector General M Nazrul Islam, M Sayedur Rahman of Industrial Police, deputy police commissioner of Chittagong Kusuam Dewan, police super of Chapainawabganj Basir Ahammad, police super of Dhaka Habibur Rahman, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Anwar Hossen, police super of Chittagong AKM Hafiz Akhter, police super of Narayanganj Mahid Uddin, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka Mafiz uddin Ahmed, Deputy Police commissioner of Dhaka M Abdul Baten, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka Imtiaz Ahmed, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Ataul Kibria who has been ordered to transferred to police headquarters, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Mainul Hasan, Assistant Inspector General of Police headquarters M Abu Kalam Siddique, police super of Rajshahi M Nisharul Arif, police super of Satkhira Chowdhury Manzurul Kabir, police super of Khulna M Habibur Rahman, police super of Rangpur M Abdur Razzaque, Assistant Inspector General of Police headquarters Dr Soyeb Riaz Alam, Assistant Inspector General of Police Headquarters M Rezaul Karim, deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Quaimuzzaman Khan, Assistant Inspector General of Police Headquarters M Aminul Islam, police super of Tangail Saleh Mohammad Tanvir and deputy police commissioner of Dhaka M Abdul Quddus Amin.
