Sirajganj: An auto-rickshaw driver was stabbed to death by some miscreants at Kalia Haripur village in Sadar upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Monir Talukder, 17, son of Nazrul Talukder, a resident of Kalia Kandapara village, reports the UNB.

Mohammad Daud, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police station, said a group of miscreants attacked and stabbed him while he was going to Kalia Haripur Rail line riding his auto-rickshaw around 8:30 pm, leaving him injured.

The injured was taken to Sirajganj Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 9:30pm.

A case was filed.
