Madaripur: Bangladesh state will not run by the directions of foreign diplomats rather people inspired by the ideology of the Liberation War will decide how this state will function, said Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan on Sunday.

He said, ‘The state will not run by the directions of diplomats bypassing the constitutional rules.’

He said this while addressing the launch of two books by Kalkini Syed Abul Hossain College teacher Yakub Khan Shishir at Freedom Fighters’ auditorium in Madaripur.

The minister said, ‘People of Bangladesh achieved this country through the great Liberation War. About 30 lakh people sacrificed their lives for that freedom. This state cannot be run by the directions of the foreigners. We ourselves will find solutions to our problems. We will go ahead defeating criminal activities.’

Madaripur deputy commissioner Miaz Uddin Khan, Superintendent of Police Faridul Islam, Madaripur municipality mayor Khalid Hossain Yad, district Awami League general secretary Kazal Krishna Dey were present among others.
