No technocrat minister in cabinet from Dec 9: Quader
Noakhali: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday said there will be no technocrat minister in the cabinet from December 9.
‘The resignation letters of the technocrat ministers have been submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). It is only the prime minister who has the right to extend or reduce the size of the cabinet,’ he told journalists in Chunnura Dighi Madrasa area in Kabirhat upazila of the district, reports the BSS.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said the aspirants who have been deprived of nominations from BNP, attacked the BNP office. There is no allegation against Awami League regarding nomination business, he added.
He said BNP candidates of the area of Barrister Moudud Ahmed violated the electoral code of conducts. He (Moudud) submitted his nomination forms with his followers carrying sticks, he added.
Zilla Parishad Chairman Dr ABM Jafar Ullha, Kabirhat Municipality Mayor Jahirul Haque Rayhan, Upazila AL President Nurul Amin Rumi, AL leaders Dr AKM Jafar Ullha and Albax Titu, among others, were present on the occasion.
