HC grants bail to BNP leader Milon in 13 cases
Dhaka: The High Court on Wednesday granted a six-month bail to BNP international affairs secretary and former state minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon in 13 cases filed over extortion and violence.
An HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mojibur Rahman passed the order after hearing bail petitions, reports the UNB.
However, Milon cannot be released from jail as the bench rejected his bail prayer in a killing case, said Deputy Attorney General Dr Md Bashir Ullah.
Detectives in a drive arrested Milon from a house at Chawkbazar in Chattogram city on November 23 last.
A Chandpur court sent him to jail the same day.
