Satkhira: Police arrested 74 people including 45 BNP leaders and activists from different upazilas from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.

BNP candidate for Satkhira-3 constituency Dr Shaidul Alam said a police team led by Assistant Superintendent of Kaliganj Police Jamirul Islam along with the officer-in-charges of Kaliganj and Debhata police stations conducted the drive and arrested 45 BNP leaders and activists while they were in an election preparation meeting, reports the UNB.

On the other hand, in a special drive, police arrested 29 people in different cases including that of sabotage.
