Sheikh Hasina never reneges on promises: Quader
Noakhali: Mentioning that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina never reneges on her words, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said at least one member of every family will be given job if she forms the next government.
‘Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina translates what she says into action. She never breaks her promises,’ he said while conducting electioneering in Kabirhat upazila under his constituency, Noakhali-5, reports the UNB.
Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said the creation of employment facilities for youths was given importance in the Awami League election manifesto unveiled on Tuesday.
He said no one will remain homeless and no house will remain without electricity after 2021.
Turning to his rival from BNP Barrister Moudud Ahmed in the forthcoming parliamentary elections billed for December 30, the ruling party leader said people believe in work. ‘They want development and work. Tears or weeping can never bag votes,’ he said.
He also claimed that Moudud never did any development work in the area although he remained in power for 22 years. ‘He couldn’t give electricity connection to a single house. They only gave poles of Tarique Rahman and fraudulence. The days of fraudulence are now over.’
