3 held with firearms, ammo in Jessore
Jessore: Detectives in a drive arrested three alleged arms traders along with two firearms and some ammunition at Munshi Bagdanga village in Jessore town on early Friday, reports UNB.
Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) police raided the house of Shahinur Rahman, 30, son of Golam Sardar, and arrested him at about 2:45am, said DB Sub-inspector Kamruzzaman.
Later police recovered one 9mm pistol, two magazines and three bullets from his possession.
Based on information from Shahinur, DB police later arrested Alam Hossain, 27, son of late Nesar Gazi, and Sabuj Hossain, 27, son of late Sattar Chakladar of Kumar Bagdnaga village, along with one shutter gun and one round of bullet.
The arrestees were involved in arms trading for long in the area.
A case was filed with Kotwali Police Station.
