Rajshahi: Police arrested the mayor of Nowhata Municipality in Poba upazila from the city on Saturday night in a sabotage case.

The arrestee Sheikh Makbul Hossain is a BNP leader and the main election agent of BNP candidate Shafiqul Haque Milon for Rajshahi-3 constituency, reports the UNB.

Abul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Mohonpur Police Station, said a team of police arrested Makbul as he was wanted in several sabotage cases.
