Khagrachhari: Two people were shot dead during a gunfight between the activists of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF), the Chittagong Hill Tracts-based political party, and its rival group Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti(PCJSS)(MN Larma) at Pujgang in Panchhari upazila on Monday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, reports the UNB.

Nurul Alam, officer-in-charge of Panchhari Police Station, said the activists UPDF and PCJSS (MN Larma) exchanged gunfire following previous enmity around 12:30 pm, leaving two people dead on the spot.

However, details of the incident could not be known yet, said the OC.

On information, police went to the spot to investigate the incident.
