Missing man found dead in Rajshahi
Rajshahi: A man, who had been reported missing Monday, was found dead at Sormongla in Godagari upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Jashim Uddin Joy, 20, a human hauler driver and son of Arkan Ali of Borobangram village in the city, reports the UNB.
Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Godagari Police Station, said Joy went to Damkura with passengers on Monday and since then he remained missing. His cell phone was also found switched off.
Later, Joy’s maternal uncle lodged a general diary with Godagari Police Station.
Later police arrested Jashim and Sumon, who hired Joy’s auto-rickshaw for going to Damkura and following interrogation, police recovered the throat-slit body of Joy on Wednesday night.
Police suspected that the arrestees in guise of passengers killed Joy in a bid to snatch his auto-rickshaw.
