Missing Juba Sanghati leader found dead in Habiganj
Habiganj: Police recovered the body of a local leader of Jatiya Juba Sanghati, the youth front of Jatiya Party, at Baro Aulia in Bahubal upazila on Sunday morning, nearly 12 hours into his going missing, reports UNB.
Quoting family members, Bahubal police officer-in-charge Mosharraf Hossain said Rafiqul Islam, 35, son of late Abdur Rahman, a resident of Joypur village of the upazila, and also newly elected president of Mirpur union parishad unit of Juba Sanghati, had gone missing at about 11:00pm on Saturday.
Later, locals spotted his body lying at a place at Baro Aulia at about 11:30am on Sunday.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy.
The incident was reported barely two weeks into the gruesome killing of four schoolboys at Sundrateki village in the same upazila.
