Man killed over land dispute in Sylhet

Sylhet: A man was killed and ten others injured in a clash over a land boundary demarcation at Khash Mouza village in Goainghat upazila on Wednesday, reports the UNB.
The deceased was identified as Kutub Ali, 35, son of Nuruddin Mia of the village.
Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Goainghat Police Station, said Nuruddin Mia and Abdul Jalil had been at loggerheads over the demarcation of a piece of land near their houses.
As a sequel to the enmity, an altercation was ensued between them over the issue on Wednesday morning.
At one stage, both groups swooped on each other, leaving Kutub Ali dead on the spot and injuring ten others.
A case was filed in this connection.
