Dhaka: Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Sunday said the coaching centres across the country will remain closed from January 27 to February 27 to facilitate the fair holding of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations without the incidents of any question paper leakage.

The Education Minister said this while talking to reporters after a meeting of National Monitoring Committee on Law and Order at the Secretariat, reports the UNB.

Those who try to spread rumours over question paper leak are now under surveillance and the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has been asked to take necessary steps in this regard, she said.

This year, Dipu said, the government has taken a step to wrap the sealed packets of question papers with foil paper to prevent question paper leakage.

As previous years, the examinees have been asked to enter the exam halls 30 minutes before the examinations and no mobile phone will be allowed in the halls, she said.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin on February 2.
