2 BCL men injured in Chuadanga knife attack

Chuadanga: Two Chhatra League (BCL) activists were injured in a knife attack by rivals at Daulatdiyar of the district town on Friday evening.
The injured were identified as Miraj and Bashir, reports the UNB.
MahbuburRahman, Superintendent of Police of the district, said Miraj and Bashir came under attack while they were chatting at Daulatdiyar with other BCL men around 6pm.
A group of their rival, numbering 8-10, attacked them and stabbed the duo. They cut Miraj’s tendon off, Mahbubur Rahman said.
He was sent to Dhaka for better treatment while Bashir is undergoing treatment at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, said Shamima Yesmin, a doctor at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Panna Begum, mother of injured Miraj, filed a case with Sadar Police Station on Saturday morning accusing 14 BCL leaders and activists and unidentified 3/4 people, said Abdul Khalek, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
