Couple’s throat-silt bodies found in Nilphamari
Nilphamari: Police recovered the throat-silt bodies of a couple from a farm house at Khatamadhupur of Saidpur upazila on Sunday morning, reports the UNB.
The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam, 52, and his wife Salma Khatun, 43, of the area.
Locals spotted the bodies in the morning and informed police, said Shahjahan Pasha, officer-in-charge of Saidpur Police Station.
Later, police recovered the bodies.
Police also rescued a guard of the house, Abdur Razzak, as critically injured.
The injured was admitted at Saidpur 100-bed Sadar Hospital.
Locals said that the couple used to live in the farmhouse along with their guard and used to raise cattle and other livestock.
They might have been killed over land related dispute, they added.
