Dhaka: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested eight kidnappers and rescued four victims from their clutches from different areas of the country.

The arrestees are Md Rokon, 21, Ayesha Akhter Asha, 25, Amir Hossain, 22, Hasan Khandoker, 30, Habib, 32, Milton, 22, Samad 32, and Md Mamun Mirza, 28.

RAB in separate raid since February 26 arrested the culprits from Gazipur, Jessore, and the city’s Jatrabari and Fakirapool areas. They also rescued Sohagi, 13, Shirin, Sharmin and Ria. RAB seized 12 passports, 11 visas, 51 fake tickets of Biman, 53 fake appointment letters, a video camera and 14 mobile phone sets from their possessions.

A case was lodged to this end.
