15 kg sulphur powder recovered in Jaipurhat
Jaipurhat: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 15 kilograms of sulphur powder from a passenger bus at Atapara area on Joypurhat-Hili road in Panchbibi upazila on Monday night.
Commanding officer of BGB-3 Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Khabir said on information, a patrol team of BGB intercepted a Joypurhat-bound bus in the area at night, reports UNB.
Later, BGB members found 15 kg sulphur powder wrapped in two polythene bags kept in a broken bucket in the bus.
Sulphur powder is usually used to make mass destructive explosives, added the BGB official.
