Barisal: Miscreants on Tuesday night looted 85 bhoris of gold shooting a trader at Bangladesh Bank Intersection area in Barisal city.

The injured Mirazul Haque, owner of Haque Jewellers, was admitted to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

Kotwali police officer-in-charge(OC) Sakhawat Hossain said, two miscreants shot in Mirazul’s leg and took his bag carrying the gold away while he was returning home at about 10:30pm on Tuesday. Later, local people brought Mirazul to the hospital.

Police started drives to arrest the thugs, said the OC.
