Narsingdi: A court in Narsingdi on Tuesday sentenced a young man to death for killing a college girl in 2015, reports UNB.

The condemned convict is Al Amin, 22, son of Miar Uddin of Kazirtek village in Belabo upazila.

According to the prosecution, Al Amin used to tease Syeda Rimvhi Akter Deepa, 22, a 1st year BBA student of Korotia College and daughter of Samsuzzaman of Syedpara village, on her way to college from home.

Being failed to attract Deepa, Al-Amin attacked Deepa on 7 May 2015, and stabbed her with a sharp weapon, leaving her dead on the spot.

Atikuzzaman, brother of the victim, filed a case with Belabo Police Station.

After examining the records and 13 witnesses Judge of the Narsingdi District and Session Judge Fatema Najib handed down the verdict.
