Khulna: A son of a freedom fighter reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his room at Samontosena village in Rupsha upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Monir Faisal Shuvo, 22, son of local Awami League leader and freedom fighter Mazid Sarker, reports the UNB.

As there was no response from Faisal’s room in the morning, family members broke the door and found the hanging body with fan, they said.

On information, police recovered the body, said Assistant Sub-inspector Saiful Islam of Rupsha Police Station.
