Dhaka: Temporary westerly/northwesterly ‘Kalbaishaki’ squall coupled with rain or thundershowers is likely to strike 18 regions during the next 15 hours from 3pm on Saturday.

Kalbaishaki squall with a speed of 60-80 kms per hour or more may hit the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Dhaka, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram and Sylhet, said a Met office warning, reports the UNB.

Meanwhile, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Barishal, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Chattogram division in the next 24 hours till 6pm on Sunday.

There might be hails at isolated places during the period, Met office said.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
