The Jamalpur district correspondent of International Television Channel Ltd (NTV) Shifiq Zaman breathed his last on Friday night at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. He suffered a cardiac arrest.

NTV family is mourning Zaman’s demise who was the President of Jamalpur District Press Club. Al-haj Mohammad Mosaddak Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of NTV, expressed his heartiest condolences and empathy for Shifiq Zaman the grief-stricken family.

Zaman’s relatives said, after feeling unwell on Friday morning Zaman was immediately taken to Jamalpur Sadar Hospital and he was released at afternoon. However, he was again taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital after feeling worse in the evening. He breathed his last on the way, said doctors.

The family source said the last rites (janaja) for Zaman would be held on Saturday at Jamalpur Tennis Ground premises. Later he will be buried at the family graveyard.
