Two more held over Nusrat murder in Feni

Feni: Members of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) on Wednesday arrested an accused and a suspect in a case filed over the murder of Madrasa girl Nusrat Jahan Rafi from the capital.

The arrestees are Abdul Kader, an accused in the case a student of Sonagazi Islamia Fazil Madrasa and Shariful Islam alias Sharif, 20, a murder suspect and a student of the same madrasa, reports the UNB.

Md Shah Alam, investigation officer of PBI said Abdul left the madrasa hostel a day after the arson attack on Nusrat.

With this, a total of 16 people have so far been arrested by law enforcers over the murder.

On April 6, Nusrat was set afire at an examination centre allegedly by people loyal to the principal of her madrasa after he was arrested and subsequently suspended as she had accused him of sexually harassing her in Sonagaziupazila of Feni district.

Nusrat Jahan lost her battle for life on April 10 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital.
