Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday provided financial assistance of Tk 35 lakh to film actor Ahmed Sharif for his and his wife’s medical treatment.

Ahmed Sharif, also former president of Bangladesh Film Actors’ Association, received a cheque of the donation from Sheikh Hasina at her office, reports the UNB.

The film actor expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for extending her assistance to his family, said the PM’s Press Wing sources.
