Dhaka: A research-based book on the political life of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, now in jail, was launched in Dhaka on Friday.

Renowned intellectuals and senior BNP leaders joined the launching ceremony of the book titled ‘Khaleda Zia Tritiyo Biswer Konthaswar’ at the Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium in the morning, said a press release.

Former Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Emajuddin Ahmed and poet Abdul Hye Sikder edited the book.

It is the first book based on complete research on the BNP chief’s political life, the press release added.

Earlier on November 18 last year, another book on her political life and work was launched.

Senior journalist Mahfuz Ullah authored the 718-page book titled ‘Khaleda Zia: Her Life, Her Story’.
