‘Drug trader’ killed in Kushtia ‘gunfight’
Kushtia: A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Bhadalia Sastipur in Sadar upazila on early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Rafique Uddin, 35, son of Daud Ali of Baradi, a suburb area of the district town, reports the UNB.
Tipped off, a joint team of DB police and Kushtia Model Police went to the spot early morning, where two gangs of ‘drug traders’ were exchanging bullet among them, said Nasir Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kushtia Model Police Station.

Later, police found Rafique with bullet-hit injuries and took him to General Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
He was wanted in several cases filed under Narcotics Act.
