Habiganj 4-kid murder: Bail pleas by 4 accused rejected
Habiganj: A court on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of four detained accused in a case filed for killing of four kids in Sundrateki village of Bahubal upazila in Habiganj.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Kawser Alam passed the order after a hearing on the petition.
The accused are Abdul Ali Bagal, his three sons Jewel Miah, Rubel Miah and Arju Miah.
Three of the accused — Jewel Miah, Rubel Miah and Arju Miah - have already made their confessional statement before the court under section 164.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested the four accused from the village in different times.
On February 12, the four children - Zakaria Ahmed Shuvo, 8, son of Wahid Miah, his two cousins Tajel Miah, 10, son of Abdul Aziz, and Monir Miah, 7, son of Abdal Miah, and Ismail Hossain, 10, son of Abdul Quadir - went missing while playing in a field at the village.
On February 13, Shuvo’s father Wahid Miah filed a general diary with Bahubal Police Station in this connection while Monir’s father filed a abduction case with the same police station on February 16.
Informed by locals, police recovered the bodies of Shuvo, Tajel, Monir and Ismail unearthing the ground in Isabil area on February 17.
