‘Drug trader’ killed in Sirajganj ‘gunfight’

Sirajganj: A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight between two gangs at Raipur Railway Station in the Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Islam Mohon, 55, son of late Hayat Ali. According to police, he was accused in several drugs-related cases, reports the UNB.

Police said the drug dealers’ gangs fought over the share of money. ‘We sent a team when we learned about the gunfight,’ said Mohammad Daud, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

‘We recovered Mohon’s body from the spot. It bore gunshot wounds,’ he added.

The body was sent to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
