‘The world is moving at a very harsh pace, especially in the areas of science and technology,’ she observed in her speech as the chief guest.

‘We’re in the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution. In Bangladesh, we’re trying to achieve that speed,’ the minister said.

She said that both men and women have to take part in advancing the country’s science and technology sector. She noted that it is mandatory to ensure that students pick up skills needed in technology sector.

The minister said that her ministry is scrutinising the school curriculum, adding: ‘We want to prepare our children for the future from the school level.’

She also lauded the hosts for arranging a timely event and also the EWU for its remarkable achievement in educational activities.
