JCI Bangladesh, City Alo ink deal to promote women empowerment
Dhaka: JCI Bangladesh and City Alo will work together for different causes relating to women empowerment such as organizing advocacy workshops, trainings, seminars and other impactful activities.
In this connection, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed recently between JCI Bangladesh and City Alo at the City Alo Center, said a press release on Sunday.
JCI Bangladesh believes in women empowerment and this MOU is another milestone. JCI Bangladesh has around 1000 members and approximately 40 per cent of these members are females. City Alo will provide specific privileges to the female members of JCI Bangladesh including the facility of three types of Alo savings account, facilitation of 10 JCI female entrepreneurs in the “Certification Program for Women Entrepreneurs” in every batch and many more.
Similarly, JCI Bangladesh will arrange different community events on women development at the City Alo Center, provide partnership opportunities to City Alo for different events etc.
Irfan Islam, 2019 National President of JCI Bangladesh signed the MOU on behalf of JCI Bangladesh while Arup Haider, Head of Retail Banking, The City Bank Limited represented The City Bank Limited. Sarah Kamal, 2019 National Executive Vice President and Erfan Haque, 2019 National Secretary General were the witnesses on behalf of JCI Bangladesh.
Similarly, Mariam Javed Juhi, Head of City Alo and Murshidul Hasan, Associate Manager, City Alo were the witnesses on behalf of The City Bank Limited. The event was attended by many National Officers, Local Presidents and members of JCI Bangladesh including Immediate Past National President Fayaz Atiqul Islam, National Vice President, Ismat Jahan, National Directors Mahmud Un Nabi and Kanij Fatima.
A large number of representatives were also present from The City Bank Limited including Saiful Amin, Head of Branch Banking and Nasrin Akter, Cluster Head, Branch Banking. It is believed, that this MOU will pave new paths for both the organisations.
