Benapole: A battalion commander-level flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held at BGB camp in Benapole on Tuesday.

BGB 26 commander Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Jahangir Hossain, Lieutenant Colonel Rezaul Islam, region staff officer, Lt Col Al Imran Tanvir, Lt Col Maksud, commander of BGB 34 Battalion, and Subedar Gias Uddin, Benapole company commander, were present from the Bangladesh side while DIG Brigadier Jaswal, DIG Brigadier KS Shah, Colonel KS Shukla, commander of BSF-40,0 Rajesh Kumar, commander of BSF-76, and SB Kumar Sharma, a staff officer, attended from the Indian side in the meeting, reports local news agency.

BGB officials said the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.

The two sides discussed different border issues, including smuggling.
