Rajshahi: A woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Kismat Kukhandi in Poba upazila on early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Ayesha Begum, 35, wife of Samjan, reports the UNB.

Nibaran Chandra Barman, officer-in-charge of Katakhali Police Station, said that Ayesha’s ninth grader son Anik was an extravagant. She was so much agitated by her son’s behaviour. She informed her relatives that, she would commit suicide.

When all the family members slept, she hanged herself with a ceiling fan.

Her husband found the hanging body while he woke up for taking sehri and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body.
