Narsingdi: Two people were burnt as miscreants hurled petrol bomb at a goods-laden truck on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway in Narsingdi on Tuesday night. 

The injured are truck driver Sohrab Mia, 40, a resident of Chouala area, and Al Imran, 20, a resident of Chandpur.

Sohrab Mia said miscreants hurled petrol bomb at the Dhaka-bound truck from Chouala when it neared Choitabo area at about 10:00pm. The bomb damaged front part of the truck.

Sadar model police officer-in-charge Mohammad Kashem said fire fighters went to the spot and doused the blaze. The local people recovered the injured and took them to Narsingdi District Hospital.
The hospital’s duty doctor Aminul Islam said 20% of Sohrab’s body and 10% of Imran’s body were burnt during the attack.
