NTV celebrates 17th founding anniversary

Dhaka: International Television Channel Limited (NTV), one of the popular satellite television channels of the country, stepped into the 17th year on Wednesday.

NTV has successfully passed its 16 years with the motto of fulfilling 100 per cent public interest by providing clear image, flawless sound and perfect broadcasting with most modern technology.

Starting its journey with talent, views and technology, the private television channels always left its footprint on the heart of its audience.

With the slogan ‘Shomoyer Shathe Agamir Pothe’, moving ahead with time, NTV started its journey to foster Bengali language and culture as well as to move forward with the modern world in 2003.

Marking the founding anniversary of NTV, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate messages.

Besides, socio-political and cultural activists, veteran singers, noted artists and television personalities, popular litterateurs, noted poets, industrialists, lawmakers, intellectuals and sports personalities gave messages on the occasion.

NTV upholds glorious spirit of the Liberation War: President

In a message President Abdul Hamid wished a best of luck to all the NTV staff and said the television has been playing a vital role in upholding the glorious spirit of the Liberation War and the country’s rich culture before the world since its establishment.

The President also said the television is popular a medium. Television is the only medium that can focus on an issue from home and abroad within a minute.

I wish all the best to NTV: Prime Minister

In a message the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘I am happy to know that the popular television channel NTV had passed 16 successful years. And I wish all the best to NTV staff and its journalists.

She also said, ‘The Awami League government is working to ensure the freedom of mass media in the country. When we came to power in 1996-2001, we first permitted private television to air that was the golden period of mass media for booming.’

Marking its 17th founding birthday NTV Chairman and Managing Director Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddek Ali expressed his gratitude to its audience in home and abroad for their sincere love and heartfelt affection.

Speaking on the occasion, Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddek Ali expressed gratitude to the audience, advertisers, operators, artistes, and patrons for their continuous support.

The chairman said, ‘We are delighted to have your support, advice and well wishes in this long journey and I thank all on behalf of the NTV team. Your guidance encouraged us to give our best.’

NTV started its journey with an eight-hour broadcasting, which lifted to 24-hour nonstop telecasting within six months.

As a global television channel, NTV also reached in Asia, Europe, North America, Middle East, and Australia. The television channel has its own offices and studios in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia.

NTV is mostly known for its news. NTV Chairman Alhaj Mohammad Mosaddek Ali said, ‘We honestly try to provide you with the latest news in shortest possible time. Our programme unit try to work according to your interest and advice. Like all these years, I hope we will receive your support and inspiration in future. We want to work for the development of Bangladesh with your support, motivation and assistance.’

On the very occasion of its 17th, everyone wishes that NTV will keep its successful journey up with the love and support of its audience, and well-wishers and go more miles in future.
