Rajshahi: Police recovered body of an unidentified young man from Meherchandi area of Rajshahi city in the early hours of Wednesday.
Two bullet-hit young men were also admitted to the hospital.

Boalia model police officer-in-charge Alamgir Hossain said people recovered the body at about 8:30am as local people informed them after seeing the body near the shrine of Oli baba. The OC said the body had bullet marks on the chest.

The hospital authorities said two bullet-hit young men were admitted to the hospital. The injured are Shabuj Ali, a resident of Shyampur area,also a student of Ramchandrapur BM Technical College and Afis Islam Shovon, a resident of Shashthitala and student of Binodpur Islamia College.

Police claimed them as Shibir activists. But, Shovon’s family members said he is not involved with any political parties.
They said man in disguise of Detective Branch police picked up him from his residence on Tuesday.

Detective Branch assistant commissioner Ifte Khayer Alam denied the detention of Shovon. 
Meanwhile, family members of Islamia College students Shabuj Ali and Ripon organised a press conference at Hotel Nice International Conference Room at about 10:00pm on Tuesday demanding them back.

Motihar police officer-in-charge Abdur Rauf said that two young men, Shabuj and Ripon, were held on Tuesday evening. Being tipped off, Shabuj’s associates threw crude bombs at police as they went to a drive with Shabuj on Tuesday night. Shabuj received a bullet on his feet as police fired back to his associates. Later, Shabuj was admitted to the hospital.

The OC said Ripon is on the custody of police.
