Miscreants hurled a crude bomb at the house of an Awami League (AL) rebel candidate at Araishidha village in Ashuganj upazila on early Saturday, ahead of the upcoming Union Parishad (UP) election.

Local people said 2/3 miscreants on a motorcycle arrived and hurled a crude bomb targeting the house of Quamrul Islam Mobarak, a chairman candidate of Araishidha union in the upazila, at about 12:30am and left the scene, reports UNB.

On information, police visited the spot, said Ashuganj Police officer-in-charge Selim Ahmed.

However, none was injured in the incident.
