Dhaka: Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will launch a new bus service for women only on Abdullahpur-Motijheel route on Tuesday.

The bus service is being launched as per the directive of Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader to make traveling easier for women, UNB reported quoting a PID handout.

The bus is scheduled to set off at 7:00am every morning from the BRTC counter at Abdullahpur and leave Matijheel for the down trip at 5:00pm.

Meanwhile, women bus service has also been launched in Chittagong. Two buses now commute from New Market in city to Chittagong University and from Kalurghat to Kathgarh under this service.
