Sylhet: A 12-day long book fair began on the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology campus on Sunday.

Voluntary organisation Swapnotthan and SUST Sahitya Sangsad organised the fair. It will be open for all from 10:00am to 8:00pm every day. On public holidays, it will open at 3:00pm to will closed down at 8:00pm.

University Vice-Chancellor Aminul Haque Bhuyan inaugurated the book fair at Arzuntala on campus at about 12:00 noon.

Among others, students counseling and guidance director Rashed Talukder, Institute of Modern Language director Himadri Sekhar Roy, assistant proctor Alamgir Kabir and Shamiul Islam, SUST Sahitya Sangsad president Rejaul Islam, Swapnotthan president Shakib Hossain were present at the programme.

At least twenty publication organisations have participated at the book fair.
