Chandpur: A mobile court in Chandpur on Sunday fined eight business establishments TK 44,000 for producing foods without license in unhygienic environment and using proscribed chemicals.

A mobile court, led by deputy director Debashish Roy of The Consumer Rights Protection Department, conducted the drives in Hazi Mohosin road, Kali Toad and Pal Bazar area in the afternoon and fined the eight establishments, reports UNB.

The court fined Dhaka Confectionary, Dhaka Hotel, Al-Helal Hotel, Swapan Store, Kuddus store, Hannan Store Tk 20,000, Tk 10,000, Tk 5,000, Tk 1,000, Tk 1,000, and Tk 1,000 respectively.

Besides, two egg shops were fined Tk 3,000 each.
