Sirajganj: At least 10 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a land-related dispute at Aliarpur village in Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj on Wednesday afternoon.

Quoting local people, the Ullapara police officer-in-charge Dewan Koushik Ahmed said two groups of villagers—one led by Khalilur Rahman and the other by Aktar Ali—had been at loggerheads over a piece of land.

On Wednesday afternoon, supporters of the Aktar group went to the disputed land to saw jute seeds.

Informed, supporters of the Khalilur group rushed there and swooped on their rivals leading to a clash that left at least 10 people injured.

The injured were taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital.
