Comilla: A young man was stabbed to death by rival over previous enmity at Panchkitta village of Muradnagar upazila in Comilla on Saturday night.

The deceased is Nazrul Islam, 24, a resident of the village.

Quoting local people, Muradnagar police sub-inspector Mohammad Nurul Alam said there had been an enmity between Nazrul and Abul Hossain, of the village.

As a sequel to that, they locked in an argument at night.

At one stage, Abul stabbed him indiscriminately which left him dead on the spot.

Later local people caught Abul and handed him over to police.
