Student held over subversive comments

Sylhet: Police arrested a madrasah student for posting subversive (religious uprising) comments on social networking site from Khasaripara village in Beanibazar upazila on early Saturday, reports UNB.
Md Zuber Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Beanibazar Police Station, said the arrestee had long been posting provocative comments against the state and government.
The cyber crime specialist team brought him under surveillance for his Facebook activities and found him guilty.
Later police conducted a drive at his house early in the morning and arrested him under section 54.
He was sent to a court at noon.
