Sylhet: Police in a drive arrested six alleged robbers from a residential hotel in Dhaka on Saturday night.

The arrestees were identified as Mohammad Jashim, Mohammad Sohel, Mohammad Mizan, Nasim Miah, from Muradnagar upazila in Comilla district, Sohel, from Brahmanbari, and Mohammad Rubel, from Chittagong.

Kotowali police officer-in-charge Sohel Ahmed, said being tipped off, police raided Hotel Majlis’ in the city at about 11:30am and arrested them from rooms no 406, 201 and 305.

‘Police also recovered weapons used in robbery from their possession’ added the OC.
