Khulna: Two motorcycle riders were killed as run over by a truck on Khulna-Satkhira Highway on Sunday.

The deceased are Mahbub Ur Rahman, 32, and Anwar Hossain, 28.
Chuknagar Highway police post in-charge MI Humayun Kabir said a water-laden truck from the opposite direction hit the Chuknagar-bound motorcycle and left two riders dead on the spot at about 8:00am.

Later local people held the truck driver around 18miles far from the accident spot and handed over him to police with his vehicle.

Dumuria police officer-in-charge Moshiur Rahman said the bodies were kept to police station.

The bodies will be taken to Khulna Medical College and Hospital.
