Discussion possible: Inu

‘Discussion is possible when it’s about improving and strengthening the electoral system of democratic state and society’, said Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu.
However, he added, ‘It is not at all rational to hold discussion over settling the formula of any ad hoc policy only to hold an election. (Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson) Khaleda Zia didn’t place any proposal to enhance and strengthen electoral process (of Bangladesh)’.
The minister’s remarks came as a response to Khaleda Zia’s statement given at a press conference held on last Friday.
‘What Khaleda Zia said are blatant lies. Her prescribed formula of holding election is irrational’, said Inu as reading out the statement.
‘Not the discussion table, Kasimpur prison is the place for Khaleda Zia. At this time, holding an election is not a matter of concern for the country. Terrorism, arson attacks, etc. are the major problems for the country.’
Referring to Khaleda Zia, the minister said, ‘It appears to everybody, from her actions, that she will not stop instigating arson attacks, burning people until anyone willingly gives her state power.’
