Jhenaidah: A police constable was killed by a bullet fired accidentally from his own rifle at Kotchandpur Police Station in Kotchandpur upazila on Monday, Reports UNB.

Mohammad Altaf Hossain, superintendent of the district, said constable Solaiman Hossain, 25, son of Modasser Mollah of Sadar upazila in Jessore, received a bullet accidentally fired from his rifle while performing duty at about 2:00pm.

He was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead.
