Bandarban: A member candidate in Paindu Union Council election in Ruma upazila was found dead in a hotel of the district town on Tuesday.

Police recovered the body of Mang Nu Marma, a member aspirant from ward 4 of the union parishad, from ‘Pru Abashika’ in the afternoon.

Officer-in-charge of Bandarban Police, Rafiqullah, said Mang went missing on Sunday night.

On Tuesday afternoon, some employees of the residential hotel smelt bad odour coming out from room-105 and informed police.

Later, police rushed in and recovered the body of Mang, the OC added.
