Netrakona: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday sent three war crime suspects of Netrakona to jail hours after their arrest from Netrakona.

The tribunal sent three war crime suspects, Ashak Ali, Shahnewaz and Azizur Rahman to jail soon after they were produced before it, ICT prosecutor Sayedur Rahman Sumon told BSS.

A team of DB arrested on Tuesday evening Ashak Ali, Shahnewaz and Azizur Rahman from Chandigor area under Durgapur upazila on charge of carrying crimes against humanity during the Liberation War in 971, officer-in-charge (OC) of Durgapur police station Humayun Kabir told BSS.

They were arrested following a warrant of arrest issued by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), he also said.
